Man Killed By Train In Shasta Lake

A man was killed by a train in the City of Shasta Lake Friday evening. At around 6 O’clock Union Pacific Railroad called the sheriff’s office to report that one of their trains had just struck a pedestrian just north of the Shasta Dam Boulevard undercrossing. Deputies responded along with medical personnel, who pronounced 36-year-old Curt Edmond Perry dead at the scene. It’s unclear why perry was on the tracks. His family has been notified.
