A big robotics event will take place at Shasta High School this weekend. “Starstruck Battle of the North Vex Robotics Competition” is a joint venture of Shasta High and Shasta College, who received a state grant for it. Teams will compete from 27 high schools from as far away as Vacaville and Ukiah, as well as local schools. The teams will guide their robots through various tasks, with the winning team going on to the state competition and possibly the world championship. The community is invited to watch for free, and volunteers are needed as well. The event is this Saturday from 7AM to 6PM.
