The hours have been adjusted for the intermittent openings of the detour at the Big French Creek slide in Trinity County. The morning hours of opening will now be 5:30AM to 7:30AM, and in the afternoon it’ll be 4:30PM to 6:30PM. The detour is restricted to those who live or work in the area because Cal-Trans believes that if it were open to everyone, traffic would back up so far that they would never get everybody through in the 2 hour window.
