Man Found Guilty Of 2016 Murder

A Redding man has been found guilty of murder. 52-year-old Jon Boring was shot to death on January 6th of last year at his home on Douglas Lane off Churn Creek Road. According to court documents, the assailants were there looking for Boring’s girlfriend, Geraldine Walker. She was the ex-girlfriend of William Thietje, who was convicted in the 2012 killing of a man riding in his van. Thietje had gone to an Ashby Road home looking for Walker and a neighbor fired a shotgun into Thieje’s van to protect a man who was almost run over by the van. Thietje ducked and the shot hit the man behind him. Thietje was found responsible for the death. When the group of defendants went to Boring’s house in January they were apparently trying to find Walker to assault her and to confront Boring about why he was still dating her. Things didn’t go as planned and Boring was shot. A surveillance camera on the front porch showed people going in and out of the house, eventually leading to the arrests of Robert Pasillas, Litoshna Wilson, Jannamarie Howard and Gina Miele. The three women entered guilty pleas in July for conspiracy to commit battery and accessory to murder after the fact. They agreed to each serve 3 years 8 months in prison. Pasillas was convicted Friday of murder with an enhancement for use of a gun. He faces a possible 41-years-to-life in prison when he’s sentenced in March.
