Animal services for the City of Anderson are now provided by Haven Humane Society. Dealing with strays, barking dogs, pets left in hot cars, injured or lost animals used to be the responsibility of the police department, and they’ll still answer after-hours calls. In the daytime animal issues should be reported to 245-2550. The agreement with haven will also include licensing services.
