The American Association of Retired Persons probably didn’t expect one of their promotional items to be used in quite this way. At 1:30AM Saturday morning a car was pulled over by Anderson Police near Balls Ferry Road and Shady Lane. The passenger, 65-year-old Patricia Johnson, owned the car but said she had trouble driving at night so her male companion was driving. Both of them were on probation so Aero the K-9 took a stroll around the car and alerted to the presence of drugs. He was then let into the car and went directly to an A.A.R.P. zipper pouch, allegedly containing Methamphetamine packaged for sale. Johnson was arrested, and later reportedly told officers that she’d been selling Meth for over 2 years.
