A fugitive has been captured in Bella Vista who’s suspected in a gang-related murder from 12 years ago. According to the FBI., 39-year-old Ricardo Puentes Jr. is affiliated with the Nortenos street gang. They say that on January 15th of 2005, Puentes and two other gang members knocked on the door of an apartment in Santa Rosa. When a woman opened the door, Puentes allegedly started shooting. One person was killed and another was wounded. Authorities have been looking for Puentes ever since. Wednesday morning, the Shasta County Sheriff’s SWAT Team served a warrant on behalf of the Santa Rosa Police Department at a house on Woodman Lane. After a brief standoff, Puentes surrendered.
