Deputies Recover Large Cache Of Stolen Goods

A burglary investigation in the City of Shasta Lake led to the discovery of thousands of dollars in stolen property. Wednesday afternoon Theodore Boring reported that his business at the corner of Cascade Boulevard and Pine Grove Avenue had been broken into. Deputies learned that their burglar might be 23-year-old Justin Greene. He was contacted Thursday at the Shasta Lake Animal Control Office, where he was working off a fine for the county. Greene is on probation, leading deputies to search his home on Hiatt Drive off Lake Boulevard. Numerous stolen items were reportedly found there. That led to a search on Old Oasis Road, where several more stolen items from Wednesday’s burglary were apparently found. A Ford Mustang stolen in the burglary had been towed from that area prior to the burglary being reported. Greene was booked into jail on several theft-related charges.
