3 Arrested For Shoplifting At Anderson Wal-Mart

Anderson police say thieves have been stealing from Wal-Mart by pushing full carts of merchandise out a fire exit to a waiting vehicle. At around 2 O’clock Wednesday morning an officer saw a Chevy Camaro backed up to the garden center, so he watched it. The car left and came back an hour later, dropped two people off at the front door and then backed into a space by the garden center again and popped the trunk open. 15 minutes later two people ran out of the emergency fire exit with a cart full of merchandise and pushed it to the Camaro.  The officer pulled up and ordered everyone’s hands up, and they immediately surrendered. There was more than $500 worth of stuff in the cart. John Stein and Theresa Stein are both on probation. Matthew Edwards recently got out of jail following an arrest for multiple alleged thefts.  All three were booked into jail for shoplifting, conspiracy and sending a false fire alarm. The Camaro was impounded.
