A man who’s already in prison for committing lewd acts with a child has been sentenced for additional crimes against children. 32-year-old Brad William Trusty entered guilty pleas Thursday to 6 counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. He was immediately sentenced to 18 years in state prison. He’s currently serving time for crimes committed in Butte County, and Thursday another 2 years was added to his existing sentence because of the additional conviction. When he eventually gets out he’ll have to register as a sex offender for life.
