Entries are due in about a month for anyone who wants to join the Redding Rodeo Parade on May 20th. The last day for entries is May 8th. The theme for the parade through Downtown Redding will be “Myth And Magic Of The Old West” and all entries must be decorated under that theme. The theme chosen by the Asphalt Cowboys was submitted by Kathy Knudsen of Redding. There’s no fee to be a part of the rodeo parade. Entry forms can be found at the Redding Chamber of Commerce, Paint Mart in Redding and Anderson, or Lulu’s on Pine Street at Cypress. One of the premiere events of rodeo week is the largest outdoor pancake breakfast in the world, the day before the parade. Yellow-shirted Asphalt Cowboys will be hitting the streets starting Thursday selling tickets for the breakfast.
