Youth Conservation Corp Has Openings For Summer Work

It’s the toughest job they’ll ever love. The Youth Conservation Corps on the Shasta-McCloud Management Unit of the Shasta Trinity National Forest is accepting applications for their summer program. Summer employment begins June 26th and runs through August 11th. It’s limited to the ages of fifteen to eighteen. The program includes educational field trips, but the majority of the time is spent working, sometimes very hard work but always very rewarding. Applications are available at Mount Shasta and McCloud Ranger Stations as well as Siskiyou County high schools. Enrollees will be chosen by a random drawing at a public meeting at the Mount Shasta Ranger Station May 9th. Applications must be received no later than May 5th.
