After being berated by a rowdy crowd in Oroville Monday night, Congressman Doug LaMalfa is probably hoping for a more friendly reception when he hosts a town hall in Redding Wednesday night. The Monday event at a Downtown Oroville theater drew a packed house, many of them expressing their displeasure. There was loud vocal criticism of LaMalfa’s refusal to accept the science of climate change, his positions on health care, and his support of the policies of President Donald Trump. Much of the meeting was dominated by the boos and jeers of the crowd, drowning out LaMalfa’s words. Wednesday nights town hall will begin at 5:30PM in McLaughlin Auditorium at Sequoia Middle School in Redding.
