Sunny Skies Forecast For Kool April Kruise

The shiny machines of Kool April Nites do what they were made to do during the Kool April Kruise Friday Night. About 10-Thousand spectators and participants are expected on the route which runs up Hilltop Drive from Cypress Avenue to Dana Drive, east on Dana to Churn Creek Road, and South back to Cypress Avenue. Those stretches of road, and the roads, parking lots and businesses within them, will all be closed to non-parade traffic. Cypress avenue will only be closed in the westbound lanes between Churn Creek and Hilltop. Anyone who doesn’t want to stay for the cruise needs to clear out before 6 O’clock. The closure will be complete with barricades in place by 6:30PM, at which time nobody will be allowed in or out until after the event is over at around 8 O’clock. Exiting drivers will require a great deal of patience. Redding Police will be patrolling for open containers of alcohol and public intoxication. Spectators may want to arrive early for a good view, as many people stake out some of the choice viewing spots days in advance.
