A Burney man is accused of threatening to slash two other men with a knife. Saturday afternoon deputies were called to a home on Cedar Street in Burney. They were told that Thomas McCloud had been there waving a knife around in front of two people, who both feared he would carry out alleged threats to kill them. McCloud was not found but deputies were later called to the same block because McCloud was allegedly threatening to vandalize a house. The deputies found him but he fled and got away. Then they saw him coming out of a house he had entered without permission but he got away again. Finally, Blitz the K-9 was sent after him and he was taken into custody. He was booked into jail for criminal threats, resisting arrest, trespassing, brandishing a knife in a threatening manner and a warrant for domestic violence.
