A house in Cottonwood was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning. Located on Brush Street just south of East Cottonwood Elementary School, the house was fully involved with fire when Cottonwood Fire Protection engines arrived. Chief Bill Morgan tells us the fire started in the back porch area, though the cause has not been determined. He estimates the value of the loss at more than $180,000, including contents. The homeowner made it out safely and was not harmed.
