Several Cited During Massage Parlor Sting

Redding Police did sting operations at four massage parlors Thursday, and they were allegedly offered sex at every one of them. Code enforcement accompanied the neighborhood police unit. The first visit was to Hong’s Foot and Body Massage on Hilltop Drive next to the Holiday Inn. An undercover officer arranged to get a massage from 60-year-old Li Yanling, and then they allegedly negotiated a price for sex as well, and went to get a condom. That’s when officers came in and arrested her. The code enforcement officer found enough violations to possibly close the business. It went about the way at the next stop, So Good Massage on East Cypress. After the deal was made and the uniformed officers stormed in, 53-year-old Xiaohong Hao reportedly tried to flee out the back door. Code enforcement violations may close that business as well. then it was on to Li Li’s Massage in the Mission Square on Bechelli, where 39-year-old Jun Li was arrested after allegedly retrieving a condom and taking all of her clothes off. Several hundred condoms were found there. Jun Li also operates Oriental Massage a couple of blocks away next to Nello’s Place. The final stop was Hands of China Massage on Azalea Avenue, which apparently was operating illegally out of a home. 59-year-old Lihua Yeh allegedly negotiated a price, got a condom and got naked. She, like all the others, was cited for misdemeanor prostitution. What was different at that business was co-owner 56-year-old Steven Nichols, who also happens to be Lihua Yeh’s husband. He was booked into jail for felony spouse pimping. Officers say there are about 25 illicit massage parlors in Redding. They add that they found no indication of human trafficking. All the women all said they had made the career choice by their own freewill.
