Redding Police say a woman on a test drive of a muscle car decided to take it- without paying for it. 49-year-old Stacy Jacobsen was test driving a red convertible Ford Shelby edition Mustang with a salesperson from Crown Motors. They were in the downtown area when the salesperson stepped away from the car for a moment. That’s when Jacobsen reportedly put the pedal to the metal and sped away. Redding Police searched the area and advised neighboring agencies. About 15 minutes later Anderson Police found the Mustang on Spring Gulch Road near Missouri Lane and Jacobsen was taken into custody. The Mustang was not damaged. Jacobsen had apparently left Crown Motors a trade-in for the Mustang, but the car she arrived in was also stolen.
