Felon Arrested After Reports Of Shots Fired

A report of shots fired in an East Redding neighborhood early Monday morning led to an arrest. Somebody on Ricardo Avenue called police at 3:48AM and said they heard multiple people arguing and then 2 gunshots. Officers approached on foot and ordered the occupants of the house to come outside. A man and woman came out and admitted they had been arguing but denied having any guns. The man, 27-year-old Sir Paul Flagler is on felony probation for burglary, so officers searched the home and reported finding a 12-gauge pump action shotgun and a semi-auto 22 caliber rifle, as well as ammunition for both guns. A neighbor approached and told officers that a bullet had struck the door of her car and another bullet had hit the front window of her house. Police say the strikes did not appear to match either of the guns found at Flagler’s house. He was arrested for being a felon in possession of guns.
