Murder Suspect Captured In Siskiyou County

A man suspected in a Yreka murder has been captured. At about 6PM Wednesday night a man was stabbed at the 76 station on East Miner Street in Yreka. The victim was transported to Fairchild Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released. Police suspected 27-year-old Greg Swanner of Yreka. He was located Wednesday night on North Main Street and arrested on suspicion of murder. Swanner’s 8-year-old son had also been unaccounted for, but he was found safe in Montague. No motive for the stabbing has been released.
