Police Arrest Several For Drug Dealing

Three people suspected of dealing drugs were arrested Thursday by Redding’s Neighborhood Police Unit. Officers watching the Hinkle’s Market area saw what looked like a drug deal happening at a car parked off Trinity Street. They spoke with the occupants, 23-year-old Deandre Dewayne Sutton-Wilson and 20-year-old Robert Tyrelle Pride. Officers say things they observed and things the men said led to probable cause for a search. Pride allegedly had Heroin packaged for sale along with hypodermic syringes, while Sutton-Wilson was holding the money. Also in the car was Sutton-Wilson’s 7-month-old baby daughter. Both men were booked into jail. While that bust was being made another unit of the NPU was working the east side of town. Officers recognized 26-year-old Robert Croninmills from previous arrests for Heroin sales. He had been sentenced to 3 years in prison. He started serving that sentence last September and was released 35 days ago to serve the remainder of his sentence on work release. Officers say he’s been traveling from his home in Shingletown several times a week to participate in the county work program, and then spend the rest of the day selling Heroin. When he was approached Thursday he allegedly had Heroin in one hand and more than $2200 in the other hand. He was booked into jail and his car was impounded.
