Another compliance sweep of Shasta County sex offenders was done Thursday. The “Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement”, or “SAFE”, operation was done by Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies, who contacted 21 registered sex offenders. 4 were on probation and 7 on parole, so they were subject to searches. The others were merely address verification’s. No violations were found and nothing illegal turned up in the searches. The SAFE operations are conducted randomly throughout the year.
