A 22-year-old Cottonwood man was killed in a crash Friday morning. At around 6:20AM, Justin Smoake was driving a Chevy pickup on Eighmy Road south of Evergreen at an unknown speed when the truck drifted off the road and collided with a mailbox and a tree. Smoake suffered fatal injuries. The CHP says there was no sign of drugs or alcohol.
