Anderson City Officials Help Homeless Veteran

Some of the City of Anderson’s top leaders have gone out of their way to help a homeless vet. On Monday the mayor and city manager visited the man, who was living in his car next to an unoccupied home. After learning he was a disabled Air Force veteran, the officials called the police chief and he called the Shasta County Veterans Affiliated Council. They connected the APD to the Veterans Resource Center and Tuesday a group of police officers and veterans advocates contacted the man and began the process of getting him off the streets and into affordable housing.
