Two Mexican Citizens Arrested At Marijuana Grow

Two men from Mexico were arrested during a raid of a large marijuana garden Trinity County on Monday. The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office assisted Forest Service Agents, State Game Wardens and State CAMP Agents in the raid in a remote area of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. About 2600 marijuana plants were destroyed and 52 pounds of processed bud was seized. Officials also collected and removed 1500 pounds of garbage and 20 pounds of hazardous pesticides. There were 4 major water diversions stealing thousands of gallons from natural waterways. A Trinity County Sheriff’s K-9 named Johnny apprehended 20-year-old Sebastian Martinez Arreola and a Fish and Wildlife K-9 named Rango apprehended 24-year-old Carlos Gutierrez-Gonzalez, who was reportedly armed with a gun. Both men are Mexican citizens.
