The name has been released of a motorcyclist who died earlier this week on Ash Creek Road. He was 55-year-old David Joseph waters of Cottonwood. At around 10 O’clock Monday night waters and his passenger, a 47-year-old Cottonwood woman, were on Ash Creek Road near Aoudad Road a little south of Dersch on a 2010 Harley-Davidson. As the southbound motorcycle rounded a slight curve in the road, waters lost control of the big bike and it turned over, ejecting waters as well as the passenger. Waters was declared dead at the scene and the woman, whose name is not available, was transported to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.
