A woman who died in a rollover crash in the Bella Vista area Friday night has been identified by the Shasta County Coroner’s Office, and her family has been notified. A little before 11PM Friday 31-year-old Susan Gray of Redding was driving a 1998 Ford Expedition eastbound on Old Alturas approaching Deschutes when the SUV crossed over the opposing lane and left the road. As the vehicle rolled over multiple times Gray was ejected and suffered fatal injuries. The CHP says she had not been wearing her seatbelt.

The coroner’s office has released the name of a woman who was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 273 Saturday. Just before Noon the 24-year-old driver of a southbound Isuzu Rodeo fell asleep at the wheel north of Rona Lane between Redding and Anderson. One of his passengers woke him up and he made a series of unsafe swerves before veering across the center divide and onto the northbound side, colliding head-on with a Ford F-250 pickup truck. The Isuzu then rolled and ejected a passenger who wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. He suffered major injuries along with the other Isuzu passenger. The driver of the pickup was 26-year-old Corissa Marie Clyde of Anderson. She died of her injuries. The CHP is still investigating, but they’ve said they don’t suspect drugs or alcohol.
