A man was stabbed when he fought with an alleged burglar Tuesday night, according to police. Redding Police were called to 3980 Virgo Street about 9:13PM and found 36-year-old George Lee Casey suffering from two non life threatening stab wounds. Casey told officers that he had heard noises coming from his side yard and went outside to investigate. He says he saw a Hispanic man riding away on his $4500 mountain bike. Casey tried to stop the man and a fight ensued during which he was stabbed twice by an unknown object. The man then fled the area on the bicycle. He was wearing dark clothing and is described as being about 40 to 45 years old with heavy build. He is about five foot ten. The bicycle is a hunter green bike that had been spray painted blue. Anyone with information is asked to call Redding Police.
