Pot Robbery Suspects Arrested After Murder Investigation

Two young men who were arrested Thursday on murder charges were the suspects from a robbery at the TA Truck Stop, according to Redding Police. Wednesday evening Shasta County Sheriffs Deputies were called to the truck stop after 20-year-old Cody Shane Wallace and his girlfriend Kaylee Potter reported being assaulted and robbed during a pot deal. The two suspects, 19-year-old Isaiah Williams and 21-year-old Devin Dashawn Sutton Wilson, apparently had agreed to meet Wallace to sell him a half ounce of pot for $300. When they were making the deal, one of the men reportedly brandished a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it within inches of Wallace’s face. Wallace refused to give the men money from his wallet, so the one of the men reportedly punched Wallace in the side of his head. Wallace went unconscious and his girlfriend dragged him by his shirt and got him back in their vehicle before they drove off. Sutton Wilson and Williams were arrested Thursday afternoon after officers investigating a homicide found evidence linking them to the robbery.
