Planning Commission Approves New Bethel Campus

The Redding Planning Commission has unanimously approved a major building project by Bethel Church. They want to build a new church and a campus for their School of Supernatural Ministries, which currently meets in the Redding Civic Auditorium. The new location is on Collyer Drive next to Twin Towers Drive at the former site of the radio towers off Highway 299. Plans include a 171,700 square foot church and school building. The land is currently zoned residential. Home owners on Twin Towers Drive had petitioned for road improvements, and the megachurch has promised about $10 Million worth. The project is expected to cost around $96 Million. The project was approved Tuesday.
