RPD Launching Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Redding Police are helping take on a totally different kind of public safety threat. The “Code Pink” Project in a public awareness campaign to bring attention to breast cancer, which is one of the most treatable forms of cancer and will affect one in 8 women. The RPD is collaborating with local businesses on the campaign and, with Breast Cancer Awareness Month starting in a few days, a press conference will be held Friday during which the police department will reveal a “surprise” for the community.
