Driver Suffers Broken Neck In Crash On Highway 99

Major injuries resulted from a crash in the Red Bluff area Friday morning. At 7:30 a Nissan SUV driven by 27-year-old Wesley Petticrew was southbound on Highway 99. Meanwhile 58-year-old Garth Powers pulled up to the stopsign on Le Claire Avenue in his 1994 Ford Escort. Powers apparently didn’t see the Nissan coming and he pulled into its path. The Nissan t-boned the driver’s side of the much smaller Ford. Powers suffered a broken neck. Petticrew had only minor abrasions to his wrists.
