Smoke From Buck Fire Drifting Into Redding

A shift in the winds has brought smoke into Redding from a fire in the Yolla Bolly Wilderness. More smoke also is being produced by firing operations around the perimeter being done to strengthen control lines before the fire gets there. The Buck Fire southwest of Redding is burning in heavy timber in a remote area near Black Rock Mountain after being sparked by lightning on September 12th. It’s now 7400 acres with 32% containment.
