Men Taken To UC Davis With Severe Burns

Two men suffered serious burns in Anderson Sunday night when a motor home caught fire following an explosion. Just after 10 O’clock Anderson Firefighters were joined by Cal-Fire and Cottonwood Fire as they responded to reports of a loud explosion in the area of Lyndsay Lane and Rebekah Street. They arrived to find a motor home fully engulfed in flames that were wind-fueled and spreading to a fence and other vehicles. By the time the fire was extinguished about 30 minutes later it had claimed the RV and three additional vehicles with an estimated value of $50,000. One burn victim was found by firefighters as soon as they arrived and another burned man was found a short time later. Both of them were transported to Mercy Medical Center where fire investigators tried to interview them but their injuries were too severe and they were flown to the UC Davis Burn Center.
