Teacher Accused Of Molestation Re-Arrested

A Trinity County teacher arrested last week for child molestation has been arrested again after bailing out of jail. David Frederick was taken into custody by Trinity County Sheriff’s Deputies last Thursday. He had been working as a teacher at the Coffee Creek Elementary School. Frederick was implicated after several of his recent molestation victims in Coffee Creek came forward to tell their stories. That launched an investigation that spanned several California counties and several other states where Frederick has worked during his 20-plus year career teaching elementary school kids. Many of his former students elsewhere were contacted and interviewed before enough probable cause was established for his arrest. During questioning, Frederick allegedly admitted that he’s had a number of inappropriate sexual relationships with his students over the years. Despite that, Frederick was released on bail Monday. After another victim came forward, Frederick was arrested again Wednesday. This time he’s being held without bail. He’s not yet entered a plea. He’ll be in court Thursday.
