Deputies in the City of Shasta Lake were unable to find the occupants of a car that flew into the bed of a parked pickup Monday night. At 7:25PM the red Nissan Altima with Connecticut plates was being driven at extremely high speed on Cabello Street, according to witnesses. The driver lost control near the intersection with La Mesa Avenue and the car struck a curb and became airborne, landing upright in the bed of a truck parked in the driveway of a home. The impact pushed the truck into a car next to it and almost into the house. Three people jumped from the car and ran away. Anyone with information about them is urged to call 245-6040.
