A structure fire in the Centerville area west of Redding Saturday morning destroyed a very old house, and a deceased man found inside by firefighters has still not been identified. The house and a boat were both destroyed on Chaparral Drive, with an estimated monetary value of $100,000. Cal-Fire says the house was built in the 1880’s. One fatality was confirmed, though a coroner’s office spokesperson says they trying to determine the man’s identity. The cause of the fire is also undetermined.
