Update: Victim Of Baseball Bat Attack Identified

A woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly knocking a man in the head with a baseball bat in North Redding. The incident was reported at 5:15AM at the Oakwood Mobile Home Park off Lake Boulevard. 45-year-old Christopher Duran Slocum was struck by the bat several times in the head and face. He was rushed to Mercy Hospital and required immediate surgery for a brain bleed. At last word he was in stable condition. The suspect, 32-year-old Pasha Alona Bowers, was found by Redding Police Officers as she was walking down Lake Boulevard away from the crime scene. She allegedly admitted to wielding the bat against Slocum. She was booked for attempted murder and other charges.
