The third annual Northstate Giving Tuesday began at 6 O’clock Tuesday morning. The one-day fundraising blitz is eagerly anticipated by local non-profit organizations. The first year was 2015 when more than $300,000 was raised. Last year the total was more than $750,000. Dozens of organizations are hoping the upward trend continues with today’s event. The 14 hours of giving is administered by the Shasta Regional Community Foundation, which has put up more than $85,000 worth of incentives for the 123 participating non-profits.
