Anderson Arrest Brings Federal Indictment

A federal grand jury indictment has been issued for a man from Calaveras County who was arrested by drug agents in Shasta County a couple of weeks ago. As part of an investigation by the APD, SINTF and the DEA, 56-year-old Glenn Everett Waltman of Valley Springs was stopped November 28th as he was driving in Anderson. Authorities searched Waltman’s car and reported finding a pound and a half of crystal meth, 13 pounds of marijuana and a loaded .40 caliber pistol which Waltman is banned from possessing due to a prior felony. The US Attorney’s Office says that if convicted Waltman could get as much as 30-years-to-life in federal prison.
