“Arrive Alive Tehema” Program Will Help Parents Learn About Child Safety Seats

A state grant will help fund a number of events next year that will promote vehicle safety in Tehama County. The Tehema County Health Services Agency has been awarded a 65-Thousand Dollar grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety to promote the “Arrive Alive Tehama” program. Throughout 2018 there will be free child safety check up events to ensure that parents know how to properly install child safety seats. Also planned for 2018 are four child safety education classes. The classes will provide information for parents to safely install the seats. If residents can’t attend any of the events, they are encouraged to make an appointment with the Tehama County Health Services Agency by calling 527-6824.
