Redding Police will be conducting a DUI and drivers license checkpoint Thursday evening. The department doesn’t announce the location ahead of time, but officers will be setting up the checkpoint somewhere in Redding from 5PM to 11PM. Officers will be screening as many drivers as possible and will be checking for signs of impairment and for valid drivers licenses. Officers remind drivers they can be be arrested for dui even if they haven’t been drinking alcohol.
