Several severe injuries resulted from a 3 vehicle crash in Siskiyou County Thursday afternoon. It happened just before 5 O’clock on Old Highway 99 south of Cram Gulch Road. Donald Anderson of Weed was driving a Toyota Solara northbound when he came to a right hand curve, but he continued straight into the southbound side of the road into the path of a Geo Metro. They collided head-on. The Solara spun off the road and overturned. The Geo Metro spun around facing the wrong way and was hit head-on again by a southbound Toyota pickup driven by Brenna Owens of Mount Shasta. That sent the Geo off the road, where it came to a rest upside-down. The three occupants of the Geo had to be extricated with jaws of life. At least five patients were hospitalized.
