12 Arrested During Sweep Of Busy Retail Stores

A proactive enforcement detail swept through some Redding parking lots on Friday. From 4PM to 10PM, Redding Police were joined by Anderson Police and state alcohol control agents as they focused on retail shopping areas, as well as homeless camps. Officers were able to use their new electric bicycles as well as dirt bikes to quickly move around congested parking lots. 12 people were arrested, 10 citations were issued, 20 shopping carts were recovered and several camps were cleared.
