Man Found In Stolen Car Sentenced To Prison

There’s a device in Red Bluff that automatically reads the license plate number of every car that goes by and runs it through state records. In October it found a match for a stolen car and notified Red Bluff Police. Officers intercepted the car and found 25-year-old Morris Alexander Mejia behind the wheel. He said he had borrowed the car from a friend whose last name he didn’t know. He was convicted of receiving stolen property and due to a prior felony conviction he’s been given a 4 year prison sentence.
