Friday will be the last Friday for a while that the Redding Police Department lobby will be open for business. Sarting next week, the lobby will close to the public on Friday’s due to a staffing shortage. Regular hours will continue Monday’s through Thursday’s and Friday openings are expected to resume sometime in the Spring. Anyone who needs immediate non-emergency assistance on Friday’s can use the call box outside the lobby doors. That’ll connect them to the RPD Records Division, which can help with most issues. Of course anyone with a real emergency should call 9-1-1.
