Update: Sheriff’s Office ID’s 3rd Home Invasion Suspect

A third suspect in a home invasion robbery has been identified by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, and a reward is offered for information leading to his capture. Just before 8AM Saturday morning, deputies were sent to a home on Night Hawk Lane in Lakehead. The elderly homeowner had been severely beaten by three armed robbers, who had bound him with zip ties while they ransacked and robbed his home for about 6 hours. They stole the man’s guns, as well as watches, knives and other property, and then fled in his pickup. Deputies headed to the scene spotted the pickup near Bridge Bay going southbound on I-5, and a chase was on. The truck exited onto North Street in Anderson and, with deputies trying to get into position to force a stop, the truck went through town and back onto the freeway from Highway 273. The chase then went down Main Street in Cottonwood all the way to the end and turned onto Lake California Drive, where the suspects started throwing guns out the windows. As the chase entered the gated community, a deputy rammed the truck and forced it off the road. It collided with someone who had pulled over on the roadside. That driver was not injured. The truck finally stopped on Saint John’s Place. The alleged driver, 57-year-old Gary Bennett, and 38-year-old Lorito Bolayog were taken into custody after a struggle. After a hospital visit both men were booked into jail on a long list of felony charges. The third man is believed to be Lorito Bolayog younger brother. Adrian Miles Bolayog is a 31-year-old Hispanic man, 5-foot-9 and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. His photo is on the KQMS Facebook Page. He’s probably driving his black 2014 Subaru Forester with Nevada license plate number 149YJH. A $2500 reward is available for anonymous tips at 243-2319 or scsecretwitness.com.  The sheriff’s office says he should be considered armed and dangerous.
