RPD Crews Cleanup Over A Ton Of Garbage From Linden Creek

Redding Police Community Service Officer Bob Brannon and his crew continue to work behind the scenes, in the bushes and under bridges clearing messes left behind by the messier of Redding’s growing homeless population. The crew recently cleaned up Linden Creek.  The small waterway runs underneath the railroad tracks and Railroad Avenue, eventually draining into the Sacramento River. The team cleared out sleeping bags, tents, food waste, liquor bottles, used needles and grocery carts that had fallen into the creek and interrupted its flow. In all, more than 2,000 pounds of material was hauled away. Messes such as this can be reported through reddingpolice.org.
