Man Arrested After Firing “Warning Shots” In Downtown Apartment

A Redding man who brought two women home with him from the casino used extreme measures to try and make them leave, according to police. Officers were called at 12:35AM Wednesday morning to a house on West Street by 53-year-old Eliodoro Carrillo. He said two women were in his home breaking windows and threatening him. When officers arrived Carrillo walked toward them with a loaded shotgun in his hands. Officers ordered him to put the gun down, which he did.  He told officers he had given two women he didn’t know a ride to his house from Win-River Casino because they had no place else to go. Once there, the guests became belligerent and Carrillo told them to leave. They refused and Carrillo pulled out his shotgun and fired what he called a “warning shot” through his front living room window from the inside. Carrillo said one of the women was still inside, so officers entered and found an intoxicated 42-year-old Jessica Hardy in the master bedroom. She’s on felony probation and was arrested. After being handcuffed and placed in the back of a patrol car, she reportedly kicked a window out and bent the window frame. She was booked for felony vandalism. Carrillo also had been drinking and he was arrested for negligent discharge of a firearm. The other woman, 43-year-old Semone Katherine White, was found walking away down the street. She had two outstanding felony warrants and is listed as one of Shasta County’s Most Wanted.
