Man Sought After Numerous Windshields Are Smashed In Anderson

A vandal made a path of destruction through an Anderson neighborhood breaking windshields early Sunday morning. As residents of Pinon Avenue and Bruce Street began waking up and going out to their cars, the calls began to pour in to the Anderson Police Department.  An officer cruised through the neighborhood surveying the damage and notifying those who had not yet discovered it themselves. At least 13 vehicles had their windshields smashed, all of them right in front of the drivers seat. Total damage is at least $5000, making it felony vandalism. The victim were each given permission to drive their damaged cars to repair shops. One resident captured the suspect on video between 3AM and 5AM. He’s a white man, between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet-tall, with a large belly. He was wearing a dark hat and a backpack. Additional victims, witnesses or anyone with surveillance footage should contact Anderson Police.
